Assalamualaikum y’all,
This summer was probably the most jam packed and busy summer I’ve had.
Firstly, I finished off my second year of studies in Pharmacy so now I’m finally half way done! It was one helluva ride! The finals were so intense. I can still remember the agony that came with studying and prepping for exams. It was quite brutal and now to think that it’s going to happen all over again…? Absurd I tell ya. Absurd.
Secondly, I got me a good summer job position working at a local pharmacy. The pharmacy is located in a mall so it’s so chill. There are no weird and scary people that come and try to harass me at work like at my previous retail pharmacy position. It was very laid back and my pharmacist really tried to teach me stuff even though the majority of the time, I had no idea what she was talking about. She is probably one of the best pharmacists I’ve come across (although I haven’t gotten to know very many anyway) .
Another major thing that happened during the summer is the long awaited wedding reception of Shakir and I. Along with the highly anticipated wedding reception came the guests and family from all over the world. We had our reception on August 4th. In my parent’s home, the house was always hopping. We had relatives coming in to our house all the time from Thursday night all the way till Saturday morning of the reception. We had our cousins from Maryland, and New Jersey as well as a whole bunch of my second cousins from the rest of the States (Like NY, Texas, Detroit and more). It was a total blast! Back in Shakir’s place, he had relatives come down from New York as well as England! It was fun at his place too needless to say.
The day of our reception, Fairy, my mom and I went to the makeup artist and got our hair and makeup done. My mom looked absolutely beautiful! She looked so elegant. Fairy and I looked hot, obviously and were ready to party it up at our segregated wedding reception. And yes, we partied hard. =)
A couple of weeks after the reception, Shakir and I went on our second honeymoon out west to Edmonton and all the way down to BC (Victoria, Vancouver etc). The Rockies were absolutely STUNNING and I was left breathless! I wish I could write more or even had the ability to describe the beauty of the place but alas, I’m a fob so I can’t communicate if my life depended on it! Instead, I’ll just show you a picture in the end.
In the end, all went well and summer drew to a close. Alhumdulillah. Alhumdulillah.
Shakir, I love you. You’re my Bubbalee and you’ll always make me feel like the most luckiest girl ever. =)
Please remember us both in your prayers.
pEACe,
Fuzzy
